Dear everyone,

I have been very fortunate to have been a part of St. Mary of the Angels fraternity, OFS, from its canonical  establishment and first Mass. You all have been my second home and family.

And always will be! I plan to join a new fraternity in Florida, but my heart and spirit will always be with St. Mary of the Angels. I've been a Secular Franciscan since 1988, and always will be.

It has been my utmost honor to have served this fraternity as Minister and also as Vice Minister. I have enjoyed our gatherings, our picnics, our ventures, our prayer times, our fellowship, our friendship, and everything else that goes with this. I plan to return here a few times a year,  as Joan's family is here, and our daughter Liz is here. And you all are here! Those are all the reasons I need. So, I hope I can make a visit as a surprise guest sometime!

I will forward my new contact info in Florida to you. My cell number and email will always be the same.

Yes, when you all have a foot of snow and ice, and it's 20 degrees, just remember: I'll be in the back yard grilling some Hebrew Nationals.

I know there have been times when I've been rather "vocal" about things. I guess I'm a bit opinionated! Especially on politics. If I have ever offended anyone, then I offer my most sincere apologies, from the bottom of my heart. I never intended to hurt anyone, in any way, shape , or form. Sometimes after I voice my opinions, then I think to myself, why did I say those things? It was never my attention to hurt or offend anyone. I like to think now, that it's all water under the bridge. (Now I'm thinking Chris Christie and Bridgegate: want my opinion on that? Just kidding!!!!!!!)

But hey, I'm not a ray of sunshine very day!

I've found out there is a local fraternity in my area in Ocala called "Queen of Peace." Perfect name for my new fraternity! Fr. Ed Flanagan is in St. Petersburg, which is about a 3 hour drive from where I'll be. I will definitely be going to see him after we get situated there.

I've always tried always be a good Minister and Vice Minister when I have served on the council. It has always been an honor for me to serve the council, and the fraternity. As Jesus said, He came to serve.I haven't been the best ever, and I would never even try for that. But just knowing that I did the best with what God gave me, is good enough for me.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to serve St. Mary of the Angels.

Love you all always!

Nick
